Lexi's Grace Welsh Springer Spaniels

Lexi is on maternity leave now. She will be back in the ring this fall.  She is in great shape now, you would never know she had a litter of puppies just a few months ago.  Lily will be in the show ring for the first time in September.  Puppies must be at least 6 months of age to compete in the conformation show ring. 

Thanksgiving Cluster Dog Shows 

We had a wonderful time last weekend at the dog shows in West Springfield.  We set up with other welshies and field spaniel friends.  Friends are what its all about, when it comes to having fun at dog shows.

Lexi was Best of Breed Thursday and Friday and Best of Opposite on Sunday.

In addition Lexi received a Christmas collar in red with jingle bells from our field spaniel friend Sue.   Everytime I start to put it on her, her tail starts wagging.  I guess she knows its hers.

News Flash

August 1, 2009 Lexi, Champion Pennylane's Taylor Made,  took Best of Breed at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club's dog show in Greenfield, Massachusetts.  We had a fun day with our Welshie and Field spaniel friends.

We are very proud of Lexi, as she took BEST OF OPPOSITE to Best of Breed the 3 days she showed at the Yankee Cluster Shows in West Springfield, MA, during the first week of July.  Today Sunday July 5th, she is getting a well deserved rest on the couch with her 3 ribbons.

Lexi finished her championship with 4 majors under four different judges. We are so proud of her.

Thank you to judge Peggy Beisel-Mcllwaine for awarding Lexi Best of Breed over 2 specials and a class of 13 dogs in West Springfield, Massachusetts. 

And a special thank you to Candy Carswell for her expert handling of Lexi and always being willing to share her knowledge of the breed with us.

Lexi is also being shown in Junior Showmanship by a 10 year old girl and is enjoying every minute of it. She was in the Top 10 WSS Junior Handlers and was awarded a special rosette ribbon by the WSSCA ( our parent club) in May 2009. Congratulations to both of them.

  Whether showing Lexi myself or watching someone else show her, the best part of the day is when she comes home with us.
